Hungry Shark Plush Toy & Licensing Plans Announced

New addition to our Merchandise Services for Game Developers

Hungry Shark has taken the digital world by storm – the hugely addictive game sees players taking the role of a shark as it attempts to become the biggest and baddest predator in the sea by eating up everything in its way! The app has been a massive worldwide hit, with 35m downloads recorded via iOS and Android over the last two years. New content is released regularly by FGOL and the Hungry Shark pantheon includes Parts 1, 2 and 3 as well as a trilogy of all three games for iPad that can be hooked up to HDTV – an innovation that has been featured on Channel 5’s The Gadget Show. The game is set to make a cameo appearance in upcoming Halle Berry blockbuster Dark Tide and is also co-licensed for the Shark Night 3D movie with Relativity Media.

To celebrate this success Future Games of London have partnered with digital specialist AT New Media to develop a comprehensive merchandise and licensing program for the smash-hit app Hungry Shark. The first fruits of this relationship are an agreement with BattleAnt to design, manufacture and distribute a Hungry Shark plush toy in time for the release of the next installment of the Hungry Shark series. The game is hugely popular – Part 1 has been the No.1 free app in 48 countries and Part 2 has hit the top spot for paid apps in 17 countries, whilst fans are currently waiting with baited breath for the next release in the series – Hungry Shark Evolution, which is set to launch in August to coincide with Shark Week on the Discovery Channel.

AT New Media has been appointed to deal with interest from the merchandise licensing community and is looking to work with partners across sectors such as collectibles, plush, and resin figures that are interested in creating products based on the game’s innovative and distinctive range of shark characters.

New Kurio Device Snaps Up Alligator Apps – Branded and Generic Creative Play Apps available

Apps developed by leading children’s publisher Alligator Books are set to feature on the brand new Kurio device, as part of a process of digital expansion project managed by sector specialist AT New Media.

Kurio is the new Android-based tablet from Inspiration Works that is targeted at kids ages 4 to 15 which hit shelves this month and which was backed by a heavyweight TV, online and PR campaign. The Alligator apps have been pre-loaded onto the Kurio along with games such as Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja and Doodle Jump, to offer kids a content rich experience as soon as they open the device. The Kurio represents a safe and fun way for kids to access a range of digital content and received a very positive response when it was showcased at the recent BritMums Live! blogging event in London among others.

The device will feature Alligator’s generic Girls Colour! and Boys Colour! apps as well as offering the new Me to You app, which is based on the hit Carte Blanche property and allows kids to utilise fingertip crayons and stamps to colour in high quality pictures of Me to You characters and create their very own digital stickers; the app features 27 unique sticker outlines and 4 gorgeous backdrops, as well as a wide range of colours. Further additions to the content line up are due to be announced soon.

The apps have been developed by Fairplay Media as part of Alligator’s new digital development under the “Alligator Creative Play” brand – which publishes fun and innovative apps for children based upon both solely owned and third party licensed content. This represents an ongoing move into the digital space by Alligator that is taking place in cooperation with AT New Media’s Project Management Division.

Me to You aka Tatty Teddy goes Mobile

New e-card iPhone app leads Tatty Teddy content deal

InfoMedia Services, the mobile content company, today announced it has completed an agreement with Carte Blanche Greetings Ltd, creators and owners of the Me to You ‘Tatty Teddy’ brand, to deliver mobile content and a new Card Sender Application for the iPhone platform, in a deal brokered by AT New Media.

The Me to You Card Sender is the first in a new series of apps to be launched that will cater for all major occasions in the calendar.  These will include 10 favourite Me to You e-cards that users will be able to send as many times as they wish.

A “trial” version will be released to give users the chance to try the product for free before they purchase the premium, fully functioned version.  Updates for the app will add new features and there are plans to develop for other platforms such as Android.

The Me to You ‘Tatty Teddy’ is one of the most recognised brands on the UK high street.  Product categories range from plush toys and figurines to confectionery and even bikes.  The bricks and mortar retail presence is backed up by a strong online retail offering at www.byCarteBlanche.com.
