Congrats to Simraceway Driver Allan McNish on 2nd place at Le Mans

18 06 2012

Busy weekend at Le Mans…

We just wanted to say quick congratulations to Simraceway driver Allan McNish and his No.2 car Audi team for finishing second at the Le Mans 24 hour race yesterday.

What a great car the Audi R18 E Tron is….

This weekend saw history made at Le Mans with the No.1 Audi of Andre Lotterer, Marcel Fassler, and Benoit Treluyer taking victory. Why was history made, well it was the first win by a Hybrid car, and it was in the event’s 80th year.

You will soon be able to enjoy more of this car and others in the Simraceway environment. You can download the open beta now via simraceway.com

Double Le Mans Winner Adopts Key Roles at New Online Racing Game and Its Real-World Driver Training Facility

It is with great excitement we can officially announce that the Simraceway Driver Development Team has been graced by the addition of Allan McNish.

McNish will take up a dual role assisting with the development of the game’s vehicle physics and training a new generation of real-world drivers at its racing facility, the Simraceway Performance Driving Center (formerly the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School).

The project counts four-time IndyCar Series winner Dario Franchitti and double Le Mans champion Allan McNish among its physics development team and benefited from the expertise of two-time Indy 500 winner Dan Wheldon before his death in 2011

AT New Media’s license acquisitions client, Ignite Game Technologies will continue to blur the line between real world racing and simulation as the project develops.
